Russia launches 200+ drones and missiles at Ukraine, killing 4 in Dnipro
Russia launched 212 drones and multiple missiles at Ukraine overnight on Sept. 22, killing four people in the city of Dnipro and injuring at least four in Kyiv, Ukrainian authorities said.
Ukraine's Air Force said Russia attacked with Oniks anti-ship missiles, ballistic missiles, four Kalibr cruise missiles, eight Banderol/Dan-T drones, and 212 Shahed-type attack drones and decoys.
The main targets were the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions.
Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 186 targets, including one Kalibr missile, all eight Banderol/Dan-T drones, and 177 Shahed-type and other drones, according to preliminary data as of 8 a.m.
The Air Force reported missile and drone strikes at 22 locations, while debris from intercepted targets fell at four locations. The attack was still ongoing at the time of its morning update.
Four killed in Dnipro
Russian forces struck industrial facilities in Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region, regional authorities said.
Four people were killed in a strike on an industrial facility in Dnipro. Six others were injured, two of whom were hospitalized. A 25-year-old man was in serious condition.
Fires broke out following the attacks, and industrial facilities sustained damage.
Four injured in Kyiv
In Kyiv, drone debris fell in several districts.
In the Dniprovskyi district, debris hit a five-story residential building, damaging its first floor and causing a fire in the basement.
Debris also fell on the grounds of a private home in the Darnytskyi district, while a warehouse caught fire in the Holosiivskyi district.
Four people were injured in the capital, three of whom were hospitalized. Emergency workers rescued 15 people.
