A Russian drone struck a 24-story residential building in Kyiv early on October 21, killing two people and injuring two others, Ukrainian officials reported.

The drone hit the building at the 20th-floor level in the capital's Sviatoshynskyi district, sparking a fire, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

Klitschko said at 9:15 a.m. local time that two people had been killed and two others injured. Both injured residents were hospitalized.

Russian drones also struck a transport infrastructure facility in Kyiv's Solomianskyi district. Another drone fell in an open area of the same district, while a drone in the Desnianskyi district fell onto parked vehicles, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
