Bild reveals Zelensky's alleged “victory plan”
The German tabloid Bild claims it had found out the details of an alleged “victory plan” being developed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The document allegedly includes Ukraine's readiness to accept “a localized ceasefire in certain areas of the frontline, and thus a temporary freeze on the situation.”
At the same time, Zelenskyy's Communications Adviser, Dmytro Lytvyn, said that the German media had not seen the plan and that the few people currently involved in the preparation of the document had not spoken to Bild.
Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi also assured that Ukraine has no plans to agree to any kind of “freeze” of the war.
Zelenskyy himself said that Ukraine's “victory plan” contains five points, including military and economic support.
Russia attacks Kharkiv
At about 15:20 on September 15, Russian forces launched at least six KAB guided bombs at Kharkiv and the region hitting a 12-story building.
As of 10:30 p.m. local time, one person was reported killed and 42 injured.
ISW: Ukrainian forces advance and capture several villages in Kursk region
The Ukrainian forces have advanced south of Tiotkino and north of Sudzha in Russia’s Kursk region, the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) has reported. According to analysts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already captured several villages.
Trump promises to end the war “with strength and wisdom”
US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has once again promised to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. According to him, he will do so with “strength and wisdom.”
“I know President Putin very well, I know President Zelenskyy very well, and I think we need to [end the war], and we have to do it,” Trump said.
Armed Forces of Ukraine plan to increase the period of basic training
The Ukrainian army is planning to increase the duration of basic military training. The project is expected to be launched in October-November 2024, said Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The army is also considering the possibility of establishing a School of Instructors, which will be the main and only source of well-trained instructors.
