SSU conducts searches of former NABU detectives
Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau says that employees of the Security Service of Ukraine are “conducting investigative actions” at the offices of former Bureau detectives who are currently working at Ukrzaliznytsia. The agency linked this to the detectives’ previous activities.
In particular, searches were conducted at the residence of Taras Likunov, a former NABU detective who investigated the case of ex-advisor to the President’s Office Artem Shylo, who is suspected of embezzling Ukrzaliznytsia funds.
However, the SSU assured that the searches are linked to abuses in the field of freight transportation at Ukrzaliznytsia and have nothing to do with pressure on anti-corruption agencies.
