Pro-European party wins Moldovan elections
Moldova's pro-European Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), led by the current President Maia Sandu, won the country’s parliamentary elections.
PAS gained a majority in parliament, defeating the pro-Russian Patriotic Electoral Bloc, which got 24.29% of the vote.
Hungary bans Ukrainian media outlets
Hungary banned several Ukrainian media outlets, including hromadske. This decision is Hungary's response to the ban on two pro-Russian Hungarian media in Ukraine.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry said that "The difference is that Ukraine blocks Russian propaganda, whereas Orban's government blocks Hungarians' access to fact-based journalism.”
Kellogg says Trump authorized long-range strikes into Russia
US Special Envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg said that President Donald Trump allowed Ukraine to launch long-range strikes into Russia.
As for the potential transfer of Tomahawk long-range missiles, Kellogg said that no final decision had yet been made.
Ukraine destroys Russian Mi-8 helicopter using an FPV drone
Ukraine's 59th Separate Assault Brigade destroyed a Russian Mi-8 helicopter using an FPV drone.
Ukraine's General Staff confirmed a missile attack on Russia's Elektrodetal plant in the Briansk region on 29 September. This plant is a manufacturer of electrical connectors for the military and industry.
EU may revise the rules for Ukraine's accession amid Hungary's blocking of the process
The European Commission may consider changing the EU accession rules amid Hungary's blocking of Ukraine's progress in this process.
A potential review of the enlargement process may only be considered for the intermediate stages. At the same time, the completion of the negotiation chapter will still be decided unanimously by all Member States.
