Finnish company plans to produce drones using Ukrainian technology

Finnish company Innokas plans to establish production of drones for Ukraine using technology developed by Ukrainian drone manufacturer Airlogix, Finnish broadcaster Yle reported.

The two companies signed a letter of intent to establish drone production capacity in Finland during a defense industry exhibition in Denmark.

The agreement is part of the Build with Ukraine initiative, which aims to expand production capacity in European countries to supply unmanned systems to the Ukrainian military.

The drones planned for production in Finland will be based on systems developed by Airlogix. The Ukrainian company’s drones have already been used in the war in Ukraine.

“We see this partnership first and foremost as a practical contribution to supporting Ukraine. Our task is to help expand the production of unmanned aerial systems in Finland and increase the amount of equipment supplied to Ukraine,” Innokas CEO Janne Kostamo said.

The companies said Airlogix’s technological expertise will be used in the planned production.
