Russian rockets kill 3, wound 4 at Kostiantynivka market in Donbas
Russian forces launched eight rockets from Smerch multiple launch rocket systems at the city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, according to regional governor Vadym Filashkin and Kostiantynivka City Military Administration chief Serhiy Horbunov.
Russia deliberately targeted the local market, damaging 15 market stalls, eight private homes, six apartment buildings, a shop, two cars, and a power line. At least three people were killed, and four others were injured.
“I reiterate: staying in Donetsk Oblast is dangerous! Russians deliberately strike to kill and maim as many civilians as possible. Don’t put yourself at risk! Evacuate in time!” Filashkin urged.
Situation in Kostiantynivka
Serhiy Horbunov, head of the Kostiantynivka City Military Administration, explained that the Kostiantynivka territorial community is among the areas experiencing active combat. Its settlements face a high risk of Russian shelling daily.
On Tuesday alone, Russian forces dropped FAB-250 aerial bombs throughout the day. Critical and residential infrastructure is damaged daily, but inspections are impossible due to proximity to the frontline.
Several settlements lack centralized water and electricity. Public transport on city routes has been suspended since June 24 due to the unstable situation.
Ukrposhta has closed its Kostiantynivka branches due to safety risks for staff.
Healthcare facilities remain operational, and some shops are partially open, with essential goods available in sufficient quantities. A ban on alcohol sales is in effect. Residents whose homes were damaged by Russian attacks are receiving construction materials.
