Kyiv satellite of Vyshhorod restores power after four-day blackout

Power has been restored in Vyshhorod, Kyiv Oblast, after a massive Russian attack overnight into December 27, energy company DTEK and regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk reported.

"All of Vyshhorod is now fully powered: everyone has light after nearly 100 hours fighting darkness," the official said.

Power engineers restored supply to over 9,000 households. Russia severely damaged a local substation, requiring four straight days and nights of nonstop work, according to DTEK.

Kalashnyk said specialists also restored heating in affected territorial communities of the Obukhiv district.

Over the week, emergency energy crews restored power to 356,500 households in 46 settlements across the region impacted by Russian attacks.

However, restoration continues in areas with the most complex damage. Emergency outages remain temporarily on the region's left bank. All critical infrastructure is powered; water drainage, supply and heating are available, and Points of Invincibility are operating.
