Russian forces strike Odesa, wounding infant and two other children among others

Russian troops struck Odesa overnight into Wednesday. Six people were injured, and part of the city lost power, water and heating, according to city governor Serhiy Lysak.

The nighttime attack damaged infrastructure and residential buildings. Hits were recorded on apartment buildings in two districts. Fires broke out in apartments in one building.

As of 8:33 a.m., the city authorities reported that the number of casualties stood at six.

In particular, a 42-year-old man is in serious condition, and three children are in moderate condition: a 7-month-old infant, a 14-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl. The injured are in medical facilities.

Meanwhile, part of the city remains without electricity. Restoration work continues at some critical infrastructure sites, temporarily leaving some residents without water and heat supply.

Utility services and operational headquarters are working at damage sites.
