Russian attack on miners’ vus in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast kills 12, injures 16

A Russian attack on a bus transporting miners from the Ternivska mine in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk Oblast killed 12 people and injured 16 as of 10 p.m. on Sunday, with 14 victims still in hospital and seven in critical condition, Ukraine’s National Police reported.

The strike occurred around 3:45 p.m. near the mine in Pavlohrad district and hit a DTEK company bus carrying workers returning from their shift, the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration said.

Law enforcement opened a criminal case under Article 438 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code for violation of the laws and customs of war.
