Russian drone strike kills bus driver, wounds 4 in Kharkiv Oblast

Russian forces struck a passenger bus traveling from Kharkiv to Velykyi Burluk in Ukraine's Kupyansk district, Kharkiv Oblast, with a Lancet drone this morning, killing the driver and wounding four people, local police and Kupyansk district military administration head Andriy Kanashevych reported.

Russian troops attacked the intercity bus route in the Velykyi Burluk community near the village of Nova Oleksandrivka using Lancet drones around 9:15 a.m. The strike directly hit the bus, which was carrying 15 passengers.

The 53-year-old bus driver was killed in the attack. Four others were injured: three female passengers aged 44, 53 and 59, and a 73-year-old local resident.

Authorities opened a criminal investigation under Article 438 of Ukraine's Criminal Code for violation of the laws and customs of war.
