At least 15 injured in overnight Russian attack on Sumy
Russian troops attacked the city of Sumy overnight into Tuesday, injuring at least 15 people, including three teenage girls and several elderly residents, the National Police reported.
Multiple strikes hit a residential area in the Zarichnyi district, with more than five impacts recorded in one courtyard. Windows were shattered in apartment buildings, and several cars caught fire.
A strike also damaged the roof of a healthcare facility.
As of early morning, at least six people were known to be injured, including a 17-year-old girl. Later updates raised the total to 15 injured. Most victims are elderly. Three girls aged 13, 15 and 17 were hospitalized and are receiving medical care.
Investigative teams and explosives technicians are working at the sites to document the damage.
