Russian forces strike five gas stations in Kharkiv Oblast since this morning
Russian forces attacked five gas stations in Ukraine’s Kharkiv Oblast since early morning today, injuring two fuel station employees and damaging vehicles and infrastructure, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported.
Strikes were recorded in the Kyivskyi, Saltivskyi and Slobidskyi districts of Kharkiv, as well as in the town of Chuhuyiv.
Fires broke out at two of the gas stations — in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv and in Chuhuyiv — but emergency crews quickly extinguished the blazes.
Explosions also damaged station equipment, 10 passenger cars and a car wash building.
Two gas station employees were injured: a 56-year-old man suffered an acute stress reaction, while a 37-year-old man was wounded and hospitalized.
According to preliminary investigation data, Russian troops used V2U-type drones to target fuel infrastructure facilities.
Law enforcement have opened pretrial investigations into the incidents as war crimes under Part 1 of Article 438 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.
