SBU behind attacks on oil depots near Smolensk, causing Russia to lose thousands of cubic meters of fuel

The Security Service of Ukraine is behind the attack on two Russian oil depots in Smolensk Oblast. As a result of the impact, Russia could have lost 26,000 cubic meters of fuel, a source in the special services told hromadske.

Namely, two Rosneft fuel and lubricant storage and pumping bases in Yartsevo and Razdorovo settlements of Russia’s Smolensk Oblast were struck.

According to our interlocutor, the attack was carried out by SBU drones.

These bases stored 26,000 cubic meters of Russian fuel for engines. After the explosions, a large-scale fire and personnel evacuation began at the facilities.

The Smolensk regional authorities reported a nighttime attack by Ukrainian drones , as a result of which fuel and energy facilities caught fire in the territory of the Smolensk and Yartsevo districts. It is claimed that there are no dead or injured.

Online reports indicate a fire at the refinery in Voronezh. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced this morning about the alleged shooting down of eight drones over various regions of Russia. In Lipetsk Oblast, according to the authorities, the drone fell in the industrial zone of Lipetsk.
