Chief of staff of Russian Black Sea Fleet missile ships blown up in occupied Sevastopol

In occupied Sevastopol, the chief of staff of the 41st brigade of missile ships and boats of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, Valery Trankovsky, was eliminated. As a result of the explosion of the car, his legs were torn off, the man died from blood loss, a source in Ukraine’s security service (SBU) told hromadske.

Mikhail Razvozhayev, a Russian puppet governor in Crimea, reported that the rescuers who arrived at the scene evacuated the driver from the car. But the emergency workers could not save him, and he died.

The explosion tore off his legs and ruptured his pelvis. Razvozhayev writes that the reasons will still be established, but "it is obvious that the possibility of sabotage cannot be ruled out." Telegram channels claimed that makeshift explosives were placed under the bottom of the car in the front part.

As noted, Trankovsky gave orders to launch cruise missiles from the waters of the Black Sea at civilian objects in Ukraine. In particular, he was involved in the attack on Vinnytsia with Kalibr missiles in July 2022. Dozens of civilians died then. He is also involved in the strikes on Odesa and other cities of Ukraine, as a result of which many people died.

hromadske's source in the SBU said that Trankovsky "was an absolutely legal target from the point of view of the laws and customs of warfare."

"It is symbolic that the Russian war criminal, on whose hands the blood of dozens of peaceful Ukrainians, ended his inglorious life on Taras Shevchenko Street in Sevastopol. Payback for crime is only a matter of time. No occupier and killer can feel safe, no matter where he is," the SBU said.
