Ukrainian drones hit missile arsenal and oil pumping station in Russia
Overnight, Ukrainian drones struck the Russian oil pumping station Andreapol and a missile arsenal in Tver Oblast, a source in the SBU security service told hromadske.
This operation was reportedly carried out by the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the SBU.
The Andreapol station is an important part of the Baltic Pipeline System-II. This station is located in the village of Yerokhino.
"As a result of the drone attack at the station, the filtration pump platform, tanks with additives were damaged, there was a spill of oil products and a fire. The Russians even had to stop the main pipeline that supplies oil to the Ust-Luga terminal in Leningrad Oblast," the source told hromadske.
The 23rd missile arsenal of the Russian Defense Ministry in Tver Oblast was also hit. Drones hit the warehouse itself and three buildings of the military unit.
Telegram channel Astra wrote that more than 20 drones attacked the 23rd arsenal of Russia’s Main Rocket Artillery Directorate and the adjacent military unit in the village of Oktyabrskoye, Tver Oblast. Russia claims that there was no ammunition in the warehouse at the time of the attack, although it itself was damaged. Three buildings of the military unit were also damaged.
In total, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the interception of 104 Ukrainian drones that night: over the Kursk, Bryansk, Smolensk, Tver, Nizhny Novgorod, Kaluga, Belgorod, Rostov, and Leningrad oblasts.
