Oil depot in Russia's Kstovo attacked by Ukrainian military intelligence drones

The recent drone attack on an oil depot in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia, has been attributed to the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense, according to hromadske’s sources.

According to sources within military intelligence, the attack occurred around midnight, with four drones successfully hitting their target. Locals reported hearing at least three explosions at the site.

The struck oil depot, which plays a crucial role in supporting Russian military operations in Ukraine, sustained significant damage.

Russian Telegram channels identified the facility as Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez, one of Russia's largest oil refineries, previously targeted in spring 2024.

This attack is part of a broader operation that saw over 100 drones deployed across Russia overnight, indicating a coordinated effort to disrupt Russian military logistics.
