Russian drone attack on Dnipro kills at least three, injures 30

The death toll from a Russian drone attack on Dnipro late on April 16 rose to three, with 30 people injured, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast governor Serhiy Lysak earlier reported the deaths of a young woman and an elderly woman. Rescuers later confirmed a child was among the fatalities.

As of 7:45 a.m., the number of injured reached 30, including five children—a 9-month-old girl and boys aged 6 and 11. 16 patients remain under medical care, one in serious condition, the service said.

The attack damaged at least 15 buildings, including a university building, a dormitory, a gymnasium, a food processing plant, a post office, a printing house, an administrative building, and shops. Numerous cars were also damaged.

Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov said Russian forces targeted city hall with a Shahed drone but missed, striking nearby. He noted that the attack also destroyed a shop owned by his wife.
