909 bodies of fallen soldiers returned to Ukraine

Ukraine has carried out another repatriation event, returning the bodies of 909 Ukrainian defenders who died on various fronts, according to the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

The servicemen whose bodies were returned died in the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy and Kharkiv sectors. In addition, bodies were returned from morgues in Russia.

Law enforcement investigators, together with experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will identify the deceased as soon as possible.

The last time the bodies of fallen soldiers were returned was on March 28, when, the bodies of 909 soldiers who died in the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia sectors were also returned, as well as those who were repatriated from morgues in Russia.

Today's return of bodies was the 77th repatriation event during the entire period of the full-scale war.
