Bodies of 909 fallen defenders returned to Ukraine

Ukraine has repatriated the bodies of soldiers killed in the war, with the remains of 909 more defenders returning home, as reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
Among those who managed to return were soldiers who died in the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia sectors, as well as those who managed to be repatriated from morgues in Russia.
Law enforcement investigators, together with experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, should identify the deceased as soon as possible.
Previously, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported that during the entire period of the full-scale war, 75 repatriation events were conducted, during which 7,017 bodies of deceased soldiers were returned to Ukraine.
The last time the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers were returned was on February 14, when 757 dead Ukrainian soldiers who fought on various fronts were returned.
