Russia unleashes 146 drones and Iskander-M missile in overnight attack on Ukraine

Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 146 strike drones and one Iskander-M ballistic missile overnight into Wednesday, according to Ukraine’s Air Force Command.

The Iskander-M was launched from Russia’s Rostov Oblast. Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones were launched from Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Hvardiyske and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea. About 90 drones were Shaheds.

The aerial assault was repelled by aviation, surface-to-air missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Preliminary data as of 9:00 a.m. showed that air defense forces downed or suppressed 103 Russian drones in the north, south, center and east of the country.

There were confirmed hits by the ballistic missile and 36 strike drones at 22 locations.
