Russian strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa; children among injured
Russian forces attacked Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and other Ukrainian cities overnight into Thursday, injuring civilians, including infants and a 4-year-old girl, while damaging homes, infrastructure, and vehicles, local authorities reported.
Kyiv
Russian forces attacked Kyiv overnight with ballistic missiles and drones, Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko said.
In the Darnytskyi district, debris damaged the facade and windows of a residential building. In the Dniprovskyi district, UAVs fell near residential buildings at two locations.
At least two people were injured — a man and a woman.
Dnipro
The nighttime attack damaged private homes and vehicles in the city.
According to the regional administration, an infant and a 4-year-old girl were injured.
A baby boy less than a month old was hospitalized. Doctors assess his condition as moderate.
In total, four people were wounded in the city. The attack caused several fires and damaged infrastructure facilities, private homes, and cars.
Russian drones also struck the region’s Rozdorska and Vasylkivska territorial communities, damaging infrastructure and a kindergarten.
Odesa
In one district of Odesa, an infrastructure facility and a business center were damaged. Emergency services from the State Emergency Service are on site.
Preliminary reports indicate one injured person receiving medical care.
According to the State Emergency Service, Russian drone strikes damaged a nine-story residential building.
In the Odesa district, energy infrastructure was also hit. Power outages at water supply facilities left residents without water in several parts of Odesa. Fires broke out at a market and a supermarket, and 15 private vehicles caught fire.
