Russia launches Iskander missile and 164 drones at Ukraine overnight

Overnight into Monday, Russian troops launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 164 strike drones at Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force Command reported.

The missile and a number of strike drones were launched from occupied Crimea. In addition, the aggressor launched Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas drones from the directions of Bryansk, Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia.

Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems and mobile fire groups of the defense forces repelled the air attack. As of 8:30 a.m., air defense shot down or suppressed 150 enemy UAVs.

However, one ballistic missile hit and 12 strike drones struck seven locations, with debris from downed targets falling at two locations.

Attack aftermath by region

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, three districts were affected by the Russian overnight strikes. In the Vasylkivka territorial community of the Synelnykove district, a fire broke out in an apartment building. In the Nikopol district, Russia struck the city of Nikopol and the Myrove community. Infrastructure was also damaged in Kryvyi Rih.

One woman sought medical help; she was injured in a previous attack and will be treated on an outpatient basis.

In Kharkiv Oblast, over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 19 settlements came under enemy strikes, with eight people injured.

In Sumy Oblast, from Sunday morning to Monday morning, Russian troops carried out nearly 50 shellings. In the Mykolaivka rural community, a 26-year-old man, a 52-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were injured by an enemy drone strike.

In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, one person was killed and four others wounded as a result of enemy attacks on the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts. Over the past day, the aggressor launched 823 strikes on 38 settlements in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

In Donetsk Oblast on Sunday, Russian troops killed three more civilians in Kramatorsk and wounded 22 people.

In Kherson Oblast, one person was killed and three others wounded due to Russian aggression. Two more people required medical aid after their car was attacked by a Russian drone while leaving Kherson on March 27.
