Russia launches 4 guided missiles and 129 drones at Ukraine overnight
Russian forces launched four Kh-59/69 guided air missiles and 129 strike drones — mostly Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types — at Ukraine overnight into Tuesday, the Air Force Command reported.
As of 8 a.m., air defenses had downed or suppressed one guided missile and 114 drones in the north, south and east of the country.
12 drones struck eight locations, with debris falling in five more. Information on the remaining three missiles is still being clarified.
Several strikes hit the port of Izmail in Odesa Oblast. A civilian vessel under the Panamanian flag, a pier, a barge and port equipment were damaged. No casualties were reported. The critical infrastructure facility continues stable operations, and recovery work is underway.
Over the past day, Russian forces carried out more than 80 strikes on 26 settlements in Sumy Oblast. In the Hlukhiv territorial community, a 39-year-old man was killed when a drone struck his car. In Bilopillia, a 40-year-old man was wounded.
Medical aid was also provided to four children — two 4-year-old girls and boys aged 14 and 15 — who were injured in a drone attack in the Sumy community on April 10.
An 86-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl were wounded during the day in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Russian forces carried out 875 strikes on 45 settlements.
Two people were killed and 14 wounded over the past day in Kherson Oblast.
