Large family killed in Russian strike near Kryvyi Rih
A large family was killed in a Russian overnight strike on the settlement of Radushne near Kryvyi Rih on July 30, with at least six people confirmed dead and search efforts still continuing, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the head of the military administration of Kryvyi Rih, Oleksandr Vilkul, and the Novopillia village council.
Vilkul said a Russian ballistic missile struck a residential house directly. By morning, six people had been confirmed dead, including three children and three adults.
Zelenskyy added that two other children had been pulled from the rubble alive.
Interior Minister Ivan Vyhivskyi said six people were killed in the direct strike on a private house where the large family lived, including three children: a 6-year-old girl and boys ages 11 and 17. He also said there was preliminary information that several people remained missing.
The Novopillia village council said the search-and-rescue operation was still underway because four more children were believed to be under the rubble.
“Unfortunately, the bodies of Olena and Artem Voronov and four of their children have already been recovered from under the rubble. This is an irreparable tragedy that has shaken the entire community,” the village council said.
According to local outlet Pershyi Miskyi. Kryvyi Rih, the dead in the home included the parents, 47-year-old Artem and 41-year-old Olena. The Russian strike also killed their children and their 1½-year-old grandson.
“Among those whose bodies have already been found and who are still being searched for are Mark, who would have turned 18 in a month, Dominika, 16, Viorika, 14, Zakharii, 13, Azarii-Ilai, 11, Federika, 9, Emilia, 7, and grandson Artem, who was only 1 year and 6 months old,” the outlet reported.

He added that July 31 would be observed as a day of mourning in Kryvyi Rih for those killed.
