Russia hits Kharkiv with rockets and drones, wounds 2, damages schools and power grid
Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Kharkiv — opening fire with Tornado-S multiple-launch rocket systems and launching UAVs. At least two people were injured, according to regional governor Oleg Synegubov.
Late on Monday evening, the Russians launched missile strikes on Kharkiv’s Industrialnyi district. Two schools and nearby multi-story residential buildings were damaged there.
Energy infrastructure also came under Russian fire. The regional administration described the damage as “quite serious.” Part of Kharkiv remains without electricity, and emergency blackout schedules have been imposed across the region.
“About 80% of Kharkiv and the region are without electricity because emergency blackout schedules are in effect. All services are working right now — the State Emergency Service, energy workers — to stabilize the situation. They are working under constant air raid alerts and the threat of repeated ballistic strikes. The work is very difficult, but we know what to do,” Synegubov said.
