Russian drones damage two civilian vessels in attack on Odesa Oblast ports

Russian forces damaged two civilian vessels during a drone attack on Odesa Oblast, an informed source told hromadske, which was also confirmed by the Ukrainian Navy.

In the morning, a strike hit the commercial port of Izmail, damaging a civilian ship under the Panamanian flag, a pier, a barge and port equipment. The port continues to operate in a normal mode with security restrictions in place.

Later, the Ukrainian Navy reported an attack on the civilian vessel LADY MARIS, which sails under the Liberian flag, according to the MarineTraffic platform.

A fire broke out as a result of the strike, but the crew was not injured. A military boat promptly arrived at the scene to provide assistance.

The Navy emphasized that Russia continues to create threats to shipping in the Black Sea and undermine global food security.
