Russian forces drop 1.5-ton FAB-1500 bomb on central Slovyansk, injuring two

Russian forces dropped a 1.5-ton FAB-1500 glide bomb on central Slovyansk around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, completely destroying a children’s sports facility and damaging 39 apartment buildings, two administrative buildings, and 15 cars, the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, State Emergency Service, and regional police reported.

A 57-year-old man suffered shrapnel wounds to his legs and is receiving treatment, while a 14-year-old boy was injured and will be treated on an outpatient basis.

“Every day brings new and new war crimes by the Russians on our land. Russia is a terrorist state!” Donetsk Oblast Military Administration head Vadym Filashkin said.

On Tuesday, Russian forces shelled populated areas nine times, wounding one person in Mykolaivka, where one apartment building was destroyed and seven others damaged. In Sviatohirivka of the Dobropillia territorial community, one apartment building and one private house were damaged.
