Woman killed in Zaporizhzhia as Russia attacks multiple settlements throughout Ukraine overnight
Russian forces launched three Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 324 strike drones at Ukraine overnight into Wednesday, the Air Force Command reported.
As of 7 a.m., air defenses had downed or suppressed 309 drones. Ballistic missile strikes and 13 drone hits were recorded at nine locations, with debris falling at 10 more sites.
Sumy Oblast
A Russian drone struck an industrial zone in the city of Sumy. While firefighters were extinguishing the blaze, the Russians launched a second strike at the same location.
All fire hotspots were eventually extinguished. A few hours later, Russian forces struck the same site for the third time. No casualties were reported.
Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Over the past day, Russian forces carried out 592 strikes on 43 settlements. A man and a woman were killed.
Overnight, a strike hit a parking lot, damaging a parking area, an enterprise, a public transport stop, nearby residential buildings, and a kiosk.
A 74-year-old female kiosk vendor who was inside the kiosk at the time of the strike was killed.
Cherkasy Oblast
The number of injured in Cherkasy from the evening attack on April 14 rose to 14. Nine people were hospitalized, and five received on-site assistance.
An 8-year-old boy died from injuries. Four apartment buildings were damaged to varying degrees by the blast wave and debris. Six people were evacuated.
Dnipropetrovsk Oblast
Russian forces attacked the city of Dnipro overnight. A fire broke out in an administrative building that was still being extinguished in the morning, and a nine-story new building was damaged.
Three people were injured: a 29-year-old woman was hospitalized in moderate condition, while a 22-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man are receiving outpatient treatment.
Kharkiv Oblast
On Tuesday evening, a guided aerial bomb struck a garage cooperative in the Kyivskyi district with no casualties.
Later, four guided aerial bombs hit the Malodanylivka territorial community, striking the village of Cherkaska Lozova.
A 74-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction. A two-story administrative building on the grounds of a civilian enterprise, and about seven cars were damaged.
Another person sought medical help after the strike on Cherkaska Lozova.
Odesa Oblast
Overnight, Russia again attacked the south of Odesa Oblast with strike drones.
Fires broke out at the port infrastructure. Rescuers quickly extinguished all fire sources. No casualties were reported.
