Ukrainian drone forces confirm strike on Sevastopol’s main electrical substation

Ukrainian forces struck the main electrical substation in occupied Sevastopol overnight into Wednesday, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces commander Robert “Magyar” Brovdi reported on Telegram.

“In the early hours of June 24, Sevastopol’s main electrical substation that distributes generation from the Balaklava thermal power plant — the 330/220/110/35-kilovolt Sevastopol substation — got tired,” Brovdi wrote.

He also said the Unmanned Systems Forces struck 48 operational and planned military targets overnight in the operational depth of Russian forces in occupied southern territories.

Earlier, Russia-installed Sevastopol official Mikhail Razvozhayev said the city had been completely left without electricity overnight after a drone attack on Sevastopol’s energy infrastructure.

Russian occupation authorities had previously said rolling blackout schedules would be introduced in Crimea. They said information about power outages would be posted on the pages of occupation administrations and municipalities, as well as on the company’s website.
