Drones strike Moscow Oblast as second oil depot burns in Stavropol Krai (VIDEO)
Drones struck Russia's Moscow Oblast and Stavropol Krai overnight into July 13, killing at least three people and sparking a fire at a second oil depot in the same area within a week, local officials said.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that more than 350 drones were flying toward Moscow Oblast starting at 8:30 p.m. on July 12. Most were intercepted "at long range," while 50 drones were shot down as they approached Moscow.
Moscow Oblast Gov. Andrei Vorobiev reported that 81 drones were neutralized over the region.
Sobyanin reported only debris falling in Moscow itself, but deaths and injuries were reported in the surrounding region. In the settlement of Pionersky in the Istra district, three people were killed and three others injured when a drone crashed, according to reports. A fire broke out at five private homes.
In Solnechnogorsk, two people were injured when a drone struck an apartment building, damaging a wall and windows.

Stavropol Krai Gov. Vladimir Vladimirov reported that a drone attack sparked a fire at an industrial site in the settlement of Vyazniki, in the Shpakovsky district. According to preliminary reports, no one was hurt.
