Zelenskyy arrives in Norway for King Harald V's farewell ceremony
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and first lady Olena Zelenska arrived in Norway on Sept. 8 to attend a farewell ceremony for King Harald V.
"Tomorrow, on behalf of all our people, we will express our gratitude to Norway during the farewell ceremony for His Majesty King Harald V," Zelenskyy said.
During the visit, Zelenskyy met Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and expressed his condolences over the king's death.
The two leaders also discussed strengthening Ukraine's air defenses, including Kyiv's need for additional interceptor missiles, as well as preparations for the coming winter.
Zelenskyy said they would also meet companies working on FREYJA, an anti-ballistic missile system being developed for Ukraine.
King Harald V died at Oslo University Hospital on Aug. 28 at the age of 89.
