Zelenskyy meets CIA chief Ratcliffe during Ireland stopover - Reuters
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met CIA Director John Ratcliffe at Ireland's Shannon Airport while their planes were being refueled, Reuters reported, citing two people familiar with the matter.
One of the sources said the meeting took place on Sept. 21. Another described the conversation as informal. Both declined to disclose what Zelenskyy and Ratcliffe discussed.
Zelenskyy was traveling to New York for the UN General Assembly, where he is expected to meet US President Donald Trump.
Ratcliffe was returning from a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
The meeting came less than a month after the CIA director traveled to Moscow for talks with senior Russian intelligence officials. Neither Ratcliffe nor the CIA has publicly disclosed what was discussed during that visit.
One of Reuters' sources said Ratcliffe's Moscow trip was focused on Ukraine but provided no further details.
