Earlier, the investigative journalist of Ukrainska Pravda Mykhailo Tkach wrote that MP Dmytruk crossed the border with Moldova on foot through the Palanca checkpoint, asked for protection there and allegedly received temporary asylum until his case was considered. But from the Štefan-Vode police station, Dmytruk went to the airport of the Moldovan capital, Chisinau, Tkach said.
From there, according to the investigator, he flew to Rome's Fiumicino airport. UP sources claimed that Dmytruk went on to either London or Istanbul.
The State Border Guard Service officially confirmed that Dmytruk crossed the border not through a checkpoint, but through the so-called green zone of the border.
MP Dmytruk himself previously stated that there were attempts to kidnap his family from a hotel and airport somewhere in Europe. The lawmaker did not publicly inform about the current stay of him and his family.
