Ukraine's anti-graft agencies expose parliamentary faction leader offering bribes for votes

Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies uncovered a parliamentary faction leader who offered bribes to lawmakers outside their faction to vote for or against specific bills, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported late on Tuesday.
The case was preliminarily classified under Part 4 of Article 369 of Ukraine's Criminal Code — offering, promising or providing undue advantage to an official.
"Details to follow," the SAPO commented.
Sources in law enforcement told public broadcaster Suspilne and Radio Liberty’s Schemes project that the matter involves Yulia Tymoshenko, leader of the Batkivshchyna faction.
MP Oleksii Honcharenko also stated the case concerns Tymoshenko.
Ukrainska Pravda, citing sources, reported that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and SAPO were conducting searches at the Batkivshchyna party office.
