1,000 missiles from Britain, maneuvers on southern front: last night's highlights

The United Kingdom is giving Ukraine 1,000 additional missiles for air defense, and the Russian occupiers in the south are changing their location and mining the territory. Here's what you may have missed from the previous night.

1,000 missiles from Britain

The UK is giving Ukraine a thousand additional surface-to-air missiles for air defense. These weapons consist of missiles and launchers for them. They can be used to shoot down Russian drones and cruise missiles.

Maneuvers in the south

The situation in the south is "tense and dynamic in development": the Ukrainian Defense Forces hold the initiative and control, while the enemy continues defensive actions and shelling of the positions of the Armed Forces, Operational Command "South" said amid Russian statements about their withdrawal from part of Kherson Oblast.

The occupiers change their location and leave checkpoints, while mining objects and territories. Over the day, the enemy lost at least 125 soldiers, eight units of equipment, two drones and a warehouse in the south.

Zelenskyy and Biden on "withdrawal" of Russians from Kherson

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the statement of the Russians about their withdrawal from Kherson. He urged Ukrainians to restrain emotions and stressed that "when we have a result, everyone will see it".

U.S. President Joe Biden called the statement of the Russians about their withdrawal from part of Kherson Oblast "interesting" and said that it indicates real problems in the Russian army.

Power outages on November 10

Most of the scheduled power cuts on November 10 will be in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr oblasts. Emergency restrictions are not foreseen yet.

Thus, from 6 am to 12 am, electricity will be cut off in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava and Donetsk oblasts. And from 9 am to 12 pm and from 4 to 9 pm, scheduled blackouts will be applied in other regions of Ukraine.

Putin will not participate in G20 summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin will not participate in the G20 summit, which will be held on November 15-16 in Bali, Indonesia. Instead, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will attend the summit, Bloomberg reports.

The Russian leader will not attend the summit, as the Kremlin decided to protect him from possible high-level tensions that could arise due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
