Emergency response centers in case of a terrorist attack at ZNPP
In the event of a terrorist attack on the Russian-held ZNPP, Ukraine has set up emergency response centers that include power engineers, emergency workers, police, and doctors, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said.
He said that such emergency response centers should inform citizens of the rules of behavior in the event of an emergency. In the coming days, it is planned to conduct a drill with road closures and the deployment of sanitary checkpoints to check for radiation.
The vicissitudes between Prigozhin and the Russian Defense Ministry
The owner of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that Russian troops had fired missiles at the rear camps of the Wagner private military company and promised a “response”. The Russian Ministry of Defense denied this statement and called it an “information provocation”.
Dismissal of Odesa military enlistment officer
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has given an urgent order to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi to “immediately dismiss” Odesa military enlistment officer Yevhen Borysov, who was found to have a mansion and office in Spain.
The head of state also instructed to set up a commission under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister of Defense, General Oleksandr Pavliuk, together with the law enforcement and NACP, to check all military commissars in all regions of Ukraine “so that they do not disgrace our country and the memory of the heroes who are dying at the front”.
Shelling of Ukrainian cities
Russian troops shelled a public transportation company in Kherson. Three of its employees were killed and 5 others were wounded.
Zaporizhzhya region also came under Russian fire. Four civilians have been reported wounded and one killed.
New sanctions against Russia
The European Union has adopted the 11th package of sanctions against Russia for continuing its war against Ukraine. Its main points are: strengthening the fight against circumvention of already imposed sanctions; new people and companies on the sanctions list; restrictions in the energy sector.
