UEFA fined Ukraine

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) fined the Ukrainian Football Association due to the behavior of fans at the matches of the Ukrainian national team with teams from England and Italy.

During the matches Ukraine - England on September 8 and Italy - Ukraine on September 12, the following violations by Ukrainian fans were recorded:

  • racist behavior;
  • blocking public passages;
  • lighting fires.

Now the Ukrainian side must close at least 5,000 seats in the stadium to fans and pay up to 15 thousand euros in fines.

In addition, UEFA fined the Lithuanian Football Federation 10 thousand euros for the fact that during the match of the Lithuanian national team in Kaunas, fans chanted slogans against Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Situation at the front

During the day, 68 military clashes occurred. In total, the enemy launched 4 missile and 33 air strikes, and carried out 24 attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas, the General Staff reported on the evening of October 21.

In the Avdiivka direction of the front, the Russian occupiers began to dig tunnels closer to the position of the Ukrainian troops. In particular, they do this for camouflage, as well as for surprise attacks from underground.

The speaker of the 110th separate mechanized brigade named after General Mark Bezruchko said that, even though the scale and intensity of the fighting near Avdiivka has decreased these days, the occupiers are not giving up attempts to storm Ukrainian positions.

Return of the children

Several more Ukrainian children were returned to the controlled territory of Ukraine.

Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported about three returned children, but the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak wrote about four: a 17-year-old girl and three boys aged 3, 6, and 9 years.

Yermak also said that in one case, mother and son had not seen each other since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The family lived on the territory of Kherson, and at the beginning of the war, the female soldier was placed at the disposal of a military unit and went to defend Ukraine. Her minor son remained at home with his grandparents. The woman was captured. After her release, she began looking for her son.

Changes in traffic regulations

The Cabinet of Ministers has made changes to the traffic rules to adjust Ukrainian legislation to the legislation of the European Union.

So, now drivers will have to turn on daytime running lights while driving all vehicles outside populated areas throughout the year. Previously, this rule was in effect from October 1 to May 1.

The government also enshrined a ban on transporting children less than 150 cm tall without the use of child restraint systems. In addition, he prohibited transporting them on the back seat of a motorcycle and moped, except in several cases.
