Accident in Lviv Oblast, shelling of Nikopol, mine tripped in Kherson Oblast: highlights of the day

A car drove off the road and into a wall in a town near Lviv, killing four people; two civilians were killed by a Russian mine in Kherson Oblast. We have collected the main news for the day.

Accident in Lviv Oblast

In the town of Zhovkva, Lviv Oblast, in the early hours of February 12, a car drove off the road and crashed first into a fence and then into the wall of a house. Four people died as a result.

The accident occurred on Ravska Street at 12:45 am. According to law enforcement, the Audi Q5 was driven by a 28-year-old resident of the Sambir district. The cause of the accident was that he lost control.

Death by mine explosion

On the morning of February 12, a car carrying civilians hit a Russian mine in Kherson Oblast. Two people died as a result, the regional administration reported.

Two men aged 45 and 48 tripped a Russian mine near the village of Novoraysk, Beryslav district. They died on the spot. The incident happened on a field road where many Russian mines remained.

Shelling of Nikopol

On February 12, Russians shelled the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast three times with cannon artillery and multiple launch rocket systems.

In particular, in the morning, the occupiers fired at the town of Nikopol. A 53-year-old woman was killed. According to updated information, two women aged 88 and 76 were wounded. The first is currently undergoing outpatient treatment, the second is hospitalized. Six high-rise buildings, a water utility enterprise, and a college building were damaged in the town.
