Zelenskyy's visit to the front line
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with brigades performing combat missions in the Kupyansk-Lyman sector.
The head of state heard reports from the brigadiers on the operational situation on the battlefield, the course of offensive and defensive actions of their units. Zelenskyy also learned about the priority needs of the units, among which the military most often mentioned front-line air defense and electronic warfare equipment, and certain types of ammunition.
The President's Office noted that the Kupyansk-Lyman axis is one of the hottest on the front: Russian occupiers are constantly trying to conduct offensive actions there.
Killing of the military
In the early hours of October 3, gunfire was heard in the center of Kyiv. Law enforcement officials reported the killing of two soldiers.
According to the investigation, a soldier of one of the military units stationed in Kyiv was having a drink with two colleagues from the same military unit after his daily duty.
A conflict suddenly broke out between the soldiers. According to the prosecutor's office, the detained soldier shot both of his colleagues with his service weapon and then tried to leave the crime scene. However, he was detained by law enforcement officers who seized a Kalashnikov assault rifle with ammunition.
