Advance of the Defense Forces
On the morning of June 14, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that over the past three days, the Defense Forces have advanced in some areas from 200 meters to 1.4 kilometers and liberated about 3 square kilometers.
General Staff spokesman Andriy Kovalyov said that in the Berdiansk sector, fighting continues in the area of Makarivka village. The Defense Ministry reported its liberation on June 11. Also, according to the spokesman, fighting is taking place near the villages of Novodanylivka and Novopokrovka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, located south of Orikhiv.
Probable injury to Kadyrov's “right-hand man”
The Russian Ministry of Defense portal reported the injury of Adam Delimkhanov, a member of the State Duma and the “right hand” of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Ukrainian blogger and special forces officer Kyrylo Sazonov said that Delimkhanov was killed by Ukrainian soldiers.
At the same time, Apti Alaudinov, commander of the Akhmat special forces, said that Delimkhanov was alive and in Chechnya. Vyacheslav Volodin, the chairman of the State Duma, and Kadyrov himself also said that Delimkhanov was alive and well.
Release of Zakhtei
Crimean political prisoner Andrii Zakhtei has been released from Russia after more than 6 years of captivity. He was imprisoned for alleged involvement in a group of Ukrainian saboteurs who entered Crimea in 2016. However, the man himself said that he was tortured and beaten to confess.
Zakhtei was released from the colony in February. He was supposed to be deported to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine, but because of the war, this was never done. So the man was kept in custody at the Center for Foreigners in Rostov Region.
Shelling of a car in Sumy Oblast
In the morning, it became known that Russian occupation forces shelled a car in Sumy Oblast on June 13. Two civilians and 4 forestry workers were killed as a result. The UAZ car, which was attacked by the Russians, was moving through the territory of the Seredyna-Buda territorial community.
Missile attack in Donetsk Oblast
On the morning of June 14, Russian occupation forces launched missile attacks on Kramatorsk and Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, resulting in three deaths and three injuries. In Kostiantynivka, a 72-year-old woman was killed, and her 50-year-old son-in-law sustained shrapnel wounds to the head. And in Kramatorsk, two men, aged 53 and 69, were killed and two women were injured.
In addition, at least 5 houses were destroyed and about 20 were damaged in Kramatorsk, and two were destroyed and 55 were damaged in Kostiantynivka. In addition, the gas pipeline and power grid were damaged.
Chaus's imprisonment
The High Anti-Corruption Court has sentenced Mykola Chaus, a former judge of Kyiv's Dniprovskyi District Court, who was accused of bribery, to 10 years in prison. After his release, he will also be barred from holding judicial office for three years.
The court upheld the prosecutor's position and found Chaus guilty under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code - acceptance of an offer, promise, or receipt of an unlawful benefit by an official, combined with extortion.
