Alleged Author of 'Ukraine Peace Plan' Denies Knowing Manafort or Kilimnik

Former MP from Ukraine's Radical Party Andrii Artemenko who is reported to have put together a peace plan for the Ukrainian-Russian relations has said he never met or talked to Paul Manafort or Konstantin Kilimnik.

The peace plan that was handed over to Michael Flynn, then-U.S. national security advisor, a week before his resignation allegedly touched upon things like lifting the sanctions against Russia and the possibility of leasing Crimea to Russia for 50 to 100 years. It also allegedly had some evidence of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko's corrupt activities.

In a comment to Hromadske, Artemenko also added that he continues to lobby the ideas from his plan in the United States with congressmen and senators.

"I am convinced that any actions - especially when they are directed at [finding] paths to peace - will result in a victory. I am sure that some of my offers were heard in the offices where world fates are being decided," Artemenko who after being stripped of Ukrainian citizenship lives in the U.S. told Hromadske.

This comes a day after a failed redaction of a court filing revealed that Paul Manafort, a former aide to U.S. President Donald Trump, also took part in the discussions regarding this "peace plan."

Artemenko was expelled from the Radical Party and stripped of his passport when the news of the peace plan emerged in a New York Times article in February.
