New sanctions approved by the National Security and Defense Council
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on March 10 to impose economic sanctions for 50 years on 120 individuals and 287 legal entities.
For example, the individuals subject to sanctions include citizens of Russia, as well as Cyprus, the United Kingdom, Turkey, the Netherlands, Poland, and others. And among the legal entities subject to sanctions are Russian betting companies (SportBet, BetRing, Sportloto, etc.), as well as racetracks, lottery organizers, investment companies, etc.
In addition, Parimatch, a company registered in Ukraine, and the international foundation Parimatch Foundation created by this holding were sanctioned.
Termination of the agreement with the UOC-MP
The Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko confirmed that the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra National Reserve is terminating its contract with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) as of March 29. He says this applies to all the premises rented by the UOC-MP in the monastery.
According to Tkachenko, the termination of the contract is due to the opinions of the Interagency Working Group, which recorded violations of the terms of use of state property by the monastery.
Tkachenko added that from March 11, working groups formed by the reserve will work on the property inventory and inspect the technical condition of buildings and structures.
