Ratification of the Rome Statute

On October 13, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturian signed a statement ratifying the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Earlier, on October 3, the Armenian parliament approved the ratification of the Rome Statute by a majority vote.

However, Armenia stated that they do not plan to detain the Russian president after the ratification of the Rome Statute.

Deaths due to Russian attacks

As a result of a Russian attack on the village of Bohatyr, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, an 11-year-old boy was killed. His mother and 6-year-old brother were injured.

In the morning, the Russians shelled Berislav, Kherson region, resulting in the death of a 60-year-old woman. Later that day the city came under Russian fire again. One of the shells hit near a residential building. At this time, a 42-year-old woman was on the balcony and received shrapnel wounds, from which she died on the spot.

Announcements of suspicion to the ex-military unit commander from Dnipro

The State Bureau of Investigation, together with the National Police, announced suspicion against the former commander of a military unit from Dnipro. According to law enforcement officials, he contributed to the illegal alienation of two large shopping pavilions on the city embankment.

According to the findings of the examinations, the owners of the pavilions — individuals and legal entities — suffered a total of 21 million hryvnia in damage. Also, a forensic military examination confirmed the illegality of the order and actions of the commander.

Revocation of permission to evacuate

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs revoked permission to evacuate Ukrainian citizens and other foreigners from the Gaza Strip two hours before the start for unknown reasons, said Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets.

“Yesterday there was permission to evacuate Ukrainian citizens. Today, two hours before this evacuation, for unknown reasons, the Israeli Foreign Ministry announced that they were not providing security and were revoking this permission. There is already an official statement from our Foreign Ministry, our ambassador has officially sent a note of protest,” he said.
