Arrival of Commander of OC "South" in Kherson, successes of Ukrainian troops on southern front: last night's highlights

The commander of Operational Command South arrived in Kherson and met locals; the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 40 Russian troops and three military vehicles in the south. Here is what you may have missed from the previous night.

Arrival of the commander of Operational Command "South" in Kherson

Commander of Operational Command "South" Major General Andriy Kovalchuk arrived in the liberated Kherson. People met him with slogans of gratitude. During the meeting, Kherson residents applauded, chanted "Thank you", and many of them held Ukrainian flags.

At the same time, Kovalchuk thanked Kherson residents for their endurance and their resistance to the occupation. "Because without you, it would have probably taken us a long time to get here, without your help, without your faith in us, in the Armed Forces and in Ukraine. Everything will be fine. We will rebuild everything, we will return everything," the commander said.

Successes of the Armed Forces in the south

On November 12, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 40 Russian troops and three of their military vehicles on the southern front. Other losses of the Russian troops are being investigated. Ukrainian aviation conducted two flights over the areas where the occupants' forces are deployed.

Reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to the call of the Hungarian MP

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine considers unacceptable the call of Hungarian MP László Toroczkai, who spoke about the restoration of the Polish-Hungarian border.

Torotskai wished for the return of the Polish-Hungarian border the day before, when he congratulated Poland on Independence Day on Twitter.


Other important news:

  • in the liberated part of Kharkiv Oblast, law enforcement officers inspected the Bohuslav secondary school. From there they seized more than 500 Russian textbooks that were brought by the occupiers;
  • Ukraine's state postal service Ukrposhta is ready to deliver pensions to residents of Kherson next week, but this requires the permission of the military due to the security situation;
  • within the framework of the "grain deal" 80,000 tons of Ukrainian food wheat will be exported from the ports of Ukraine and will be used for the needs of countries on the verge of famine;
  • a photo exhibition "Next Station: Ukraine". It shows photos of Kyiv and Kharkiv subway when Ukrainians were hiding there during the Russian air raids.
