Strike on Cherkasy Oblast
At night, the Russian occupiers attacked the territory of Cherkasy Oblast. There are currently no reports of casualties or damage. Services are available on-site. The Regional Military Administration promised to report on the consequences later.
Abduction of children
On October 21, the occupiers took 46 children from the Kherson regional children's home to temporarily occupied Simferopol in ambulances, the Regional Military Administration reported.
Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said that the occupiers are also planning to kidnap 16 Ukrainian children aged 6 to 17 from Oleshka, Kherson Oblast.
Voluntary military registration of women
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a draft law on voluntary military registration for women.
Now women with related military accounting specialties can register for military service of their own accord. At the same time, female doctors must be registered as conscripts.
Fighting in the south
On October 21, the Ukrainian military on the southern front destroyed almost two dozen occupiers, 6 units of their hardware, and three warehouses. Moreover, the Armed Forces hit an enemy attack aircraft and shot down a UAV. For their part, the Russians launched helicopter strikes.
