Attack on Russian landing boats, NASAMS from Lithuania: highlights of November 10

The Russian landing boats hit in Crimea have sunk, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine said, and Lithuania has handed over NASAMS and auxiliary equipment to the Ukrainian army. We have collected the main news for November 10, 2023.

The destruction of the boats

On the night of November 10, the Ukrainian military managed to hit two Russian fast landing boats in the occupied Crimea in the village of Chornomorske, located on the western edge of Crimea, on the Tarkhankut Peninsula. According to Ukrainian intelligence, the boats went down.

The HUR noted that the vessels were crewed and loaded with armored vehicles, including BTR-82.

Transfer of the NASAMS air defense system

Lithuania has confirmed that it has transferred NASAMS medium-range air defense systems and auxiliary equipment to Ukraine, as announced in October.

The Lithuanian Defense Ministry did not specify the number of NASAMS transferred, but earlier it was said to be two units. Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anusauskas emphasized that his country "will firmly adhere to its commitments to support Ukraine."

Attacks on Ukrainian regions

One person was killed and five others were injured in the shelling of Novoraysk in Beryslav district, Kherson Oblast. In the morning, the Russian army attacked Kindiyka with artillery in the region. A 69-year-old man died on the spot as a result of the shelling.

The occupiers also attacked the city of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, with two kamikaze drones. A 67-year-old woman died as a result. A 68-year-old man also sustained shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized. The information is being clarified.

Russian colonel killed

Ukrainian intelligence has learned that in occupied Crimea, mobilized Russian soldiers killed their colonel and then fled to Russia.

According to intelligence, the incident took place on November 1 in Simferopol. A group of mobilized soldiers from the 20th motorized rifle division, part of the 8th army of the southern military district of the Russian armed forces, inflicted serious bodily injuries on Colonel Musurbekov (name withheld).

Also, fighters of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" fighting on the side of Ukraine are behind the murder of FSB Lieutenant Colonel Sergei Shaty in Bryansk Oblast. The information was confirmed by a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
