Attempted assassination attempt on Zelenskyy and Patriot systems found for Ukraine: April 18 highlights

Planning an assassination attempt on Zelenskyy
The Prosecutor General's Office and the Security Service of Ukraine, together with Polish partners, exposed a Polish citizen who offered Russian special services cooperation in an assassination attempt on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the investigation, the detainee was supposed to collect and pass on information about the security of the Polish Rzeszów-Jasionka airport to Russia. He faces up to eight years in prison.
Proposals for Patriot for Ukraine
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that NATO partners have found six more Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine to strengthen its air defense.

Journalists appeal to parliament over OC "South" spokesperson
More than 150 media professionals, outlets and associations from Ukraine and abroad have appealed to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech to dismiss Natalia Humeniuk from the management of the joint press center Operational Command "South".

Consequences of the strike on the airfield in Dzhankoy
The strike on the Dzhankoy airfield in occupied Crimea, where Russian troops are based, destroyed or critically damaged a number of vehicles, including:
- four launchers of the S-400 air defense system;
- three radar stations;
- air defense control center;
- airspace surveillance equipment "Fundament-M".
The intelligence officers are still clarifying other losses.
Search and rescue operation completed in Chernihiv
On the morning of April 18, rescuers completed a search and rescue operation in Chernihiv after a Russian missile strike the day before. According to the latest reports, 18 people were killed and 78 wounded in the attack.
City officials declared April 18 a day of mourning for the victims.
