In the south, the occupiers tried to break through Ukrainian positions on different axes, Russia warned the United States about annual nuclear exercises, and a warehouse in St. Petersburg is on fire. Here is what you may have missed from the previous night.

Attempted breakthrough in the south

On the southern front, Russians twice tried to break through Ukrainian positions on different axes. The Armed Forces of Ukraine put up a fight, as a result of which the occupiers retreated. According to Operational Command "South", Ukrainian units suffered no casualties, and enemy losses are being clarified.

Russia's nuclear exercises

Russia has informed the United States that it will hold annual exercises involving its strategic nuclear forces. The Pentagon says that these are normal annual exercises and that the United States will monitor them.

Zelenskyy's conversation with the new British Prime Minister

Newly elected British PM Rishi Sunak made his first call to Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated him on his appointment and invited him to visit Ukraine.

Sunak emphasized support for Ukraine and expressed hope to meet with the Head of State in person soon. "The UK's support for Ukraine under my premiership will be as strong as ever," Sunak assured.

A warehouse on fire in St. Petersburg


In the Russian village of Metallostroy, which is located in the Kolpino district of St. Petersburg, a warehouse caught fire. The large-scale fire spread over up to 12,000 square meters. Eyewitnesses write about the sounds of explosions. There is no information about the victims yet. The cause of the fire is also not reported.

Discrediting the national movements of the peoples of the Russian Federation

Russia's special services are preparing a broad discrediting campaign against the leaders of national and national liberation movements of the peoples of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian intelligence reported.

According to spies, this discrediting campaign is planned for the near future, its goal is to disrupt international support for the peoples who want to protect their rights, language, and culture.

Israel to hand over evidence of Iranian drones to the United States

Israeli President Isaac Herzog will hand over to U.S. President Joe Biden intelligence data proving that Russia is using Iranian suicide drones in Ukraine.

Israeli intelligence has found that the drone fragments found in Ukraine are identical in structure, size, and numbering to similar drones used in Iranian military exercises. They also have engines similar to those that Iran showed at a military exhibition.

Shooting down drones

On the evening of October 25, the Ukrainian military shot down three Russian Shahed-136 Iranian-made kamikaze drones in the sky: two over Kherson Oblast and one over Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
