Pre-trial restrictions in the case of closed shelter

The Holosiivskyi Court of Kyiv has imposed a pre-trial restraint on suspects in the case of a closed shelter in a clinic where people died on June 1.

The head and deputy director of the technical department, as well as the deputy head of the Desnianskyi district administration, were placed under round-the-clock house arrest for two months. The security guard was taken into custody for two months without the right to bail.

Shelter checks

As of the morning of June 3, law enforcement officers checked more than 4,800 shelters in Ukraine. 252 civil defense facilities were found to be closed, and 893 were found to be unusable, the Interior Ministry reported. The violations were recorded, and the reports have been submitted to the responsible authorities to eliminate the shortcomings. The inspections will continue.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that Kyiv residents had left more than 1,000 complaints about the condition of shelters in the Kyiv Digital mobile application over the past day.

Mistake with Tkachenko's dismissal petition

The author of a petition to dismiss Minister of Culture Oleksandr Tkachenko received an email from the Cabinet of Ministers stating that the petition did not receive enough votes and would not be considered.

Later, the government explained that this message was sent due to a system error and would not affect the processing of the petition.

Car with four collaborators blown up in southern Ukraine

In the occupied village of Mykhailivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, near Melitopol, a car carrying the deputy head of the "We Are Together with Russia" headquarters, Serhiy Didovydyuk, his wife and daughter Yana (an active collaborator, deputy of the so-called head of the military-civilian administration of Mykhailivka, Vyacheslav Bidnyakov) was blown up. Mr. Bidnyakov was also near the car.

Collaborator Didovydyuk and his daughter were killed, his wife was injured, and Bidnyakov's condition is currently being clarified. A number of Ukrainian media outlets cite sources as saying that the Security Service of Ukraine may have been involved in the bombing of the collaborators.

Situation at the front

The Washington Post writes that the first obstacle to Ukraine's long-awaited counteroffensive is de-mining. Like Russia, Ukraine has laid thousands of mines along the front line. De-mining operations are already underway, the newspaper notes.

At the same time, British intelligence reported that the Russian command continues to regroup regular units on the Bakhmut axis of Donetsk Oblast, as the Wagner assault group completes the withdrawal of its troops to the rear areas.
